Yet another student, yet another trip within Japan. This one went to visit her elderly mother in her home prefecture, Kumamoto, down in Kyushu, and brought me back these as souvenirs. Basically, they are what they say are – sweet potato-flavoured cheesecakes. The cheese flavour is quite strong and so the sweet potato aspect doesn’t really come through, but they are still a delicious little souvenir to offer to someone!
