A small but nonetheless surprising thing I discovered when I came to Japan was the extent to which cornflakes are regarded as something special, to be included in sweet treats. You regularly find them served up in parfeits, crepes and, in some cases, chocolate. Morinaga‘s new Grash is an example of the latter. Each packet contains small mounds of chocolate within which are proportionately large chucks of nuts and cornflakes. They’re very crunchy but the exterior chocolate is surprisingly smooth given what it covers. They’re quite nice, if a little… breakfast cereal-ish?
