Imagawayaki and iced coffee – my local supermarket

A cheap but very nice treat – imagawayaki and iced coffee. Imagawayaki is a traditional Japanese sweet, but perhaps one of the more approachable ones for people with non-Japanese tastes. They’re made of pancake-batter-like dough cooked in a round shell with various fillings. Ogura, the filling made of azuki (sweet red bean paste) is the traditional version, but I prefer the custard “cream” version and there was a chestnut version that the same supermarket did last autumn that was absolutely amazing.
