Easter isn’t really a big deal at all in Japan, but some confectionery companies have at least recognized the decorative value of the occasion in recent years, littering the wrappers of the regular products with cute bunnies and eggs. Tirol is one of them, and have released a range of Easter-themed caramel popcorn flavoured chocolates. Beneath their cute wrappings, the chocolates themselves are hardly beautiful, caramel chocolate with lumps of popcorn and chocolate biscuit pieces. The flavour is odd, but surprisingly quite good – strong caramel with a salty, crunchy edge. Worth a try if only for the novelty value!
