I’m very fond of caramel chocolate, but it’s not a flavour that is particularly common in Japan, especially outside of the cooler months. When I see them, I tend to pounce on them and so here we are. Lotte has a range of chocolates called their “Charlottle” range, pronounced “shar-lo-teh” and thus playing on the brand name. Charlotte chocolates are thin squares, rich and creamy in taste. The chocolate is pretty delicious in itself, but it becomes simply amazing when there’s caramel added in.
